The Sun Cinematography Award is managed by a handful of Charlene's closest friends along with her family. 

Our funds come entirely from the numerous personal donations from friends and colleagues, and so are not endless.

One of the greatest needs for aspiring female cinematraphers is a combination of access and mentorship, and so we are pooling together our contacts, resources and ideas to make those the primary elements of this ongoing award.
